Recycled, upcycled, artworked Aqua

For this year’s Recycling Week AQUA Carpatica wanted to do something more with its 100% rPET range of bottles, using them in a way that would support local communities and inspire its online community.

We set up a partnership with the wonderful Arts Generation initiative and through them another primary school, this time in North East London. Together we devised a creative and fun project to keep the students inspired and excited around the creative possibilities of recycling.

They brought in used plastic bottles which would’ve been thrown away and instead they were cut up into a new design and painted to the be finally turned into a massive art installation which was hung from the ceiling.

The students found it extremely rewarding and said they were inspired by the project to start recycling their plastic at home more often, or to turn them into something creative. On this job our role was to produce, film, edit & deliver the video across Aqua Carpatica’s UK social channels.

The results were some of the best performing organic content for the year and was one of the factors in an increase in engagement rate of 35% on Twitter and 94% on Instagram. And a very cool new artwork in the school.
