Not your average Garden party

With the core message of down your tools and enjoy the fruits of your labour, Garden Day was all about celebrating your garden. No matter how big or small, this was a chance to gather your friends and family to relax in nature.

The Tom Sawyer Effect managed the social media strategy across the multi-event movement. With the help of our fabulous flower crown ambassadors, we were brought on to generate excitement in the lead up to the big day. Our strategy was to encourage the gardening community to celebrate Garden Day with us. We did this through extensive community management and enlighten others about the benefits of gardening.

To capture this movement TSE had more content creators than ever out in force across several locations leading up to and on the big day of May 12th. Stretching from Somerset to London, from roof terraces to community allotments. Garden day went down a treat with plenty of cake and lots of good thymes.

The movement was much more than a chance to down tools and throw a garden party. Garden Day unearthed some truths for everyone, it showed that a garden can be many things to many people. For some, it is a chance to teach others, especially children about being sustainable and growing your own food. For others, how gardening can reconnect us to nature and bring alive our senses. It can be a place to develop peace and wellness, as well as having a dramatic effect on your overall well being.
